Background story...
As we moved to France in November 2024 to retire, we wanted a house with a separate Gite, so when the kids and grandkids come over, they have there "own" place to chill and relax, but we wanted to be within driving distance of the kids and grandchildren, so about a 9 hour drive..
After visiting online 400 houses or so, we made a selection of 10 to visit, after seeing this place in La Chapelle-Montbrandeix, we where sold... what a dream location, in a small sleepy village, yet close to bigger cities like Limoges (beautiful!) and Perigueux (WAUW! Must see!) 3.000m2 landscaped garden with beautiful trees and flowering plants, a separate gite that can sleep 4 easy, living room indoors with fully equipped kitchen, nice bathroom and living space outdoors, at the main house a fantastic terrace with gorgeous pool, a "Oranjerie" that we absolutely love in the warmer days, as we placed mosquito nets on all windows, you sit outside, but no flies or anything.. although maybe not necessary, it is a fantastic extra 45m2 to the living space of the already 200m2 main house..
So now after living here for 6 month or so, and doing a lot to the place as it was pretty neglected and being treated as a "rental" we have now time to enjoy, and since I like to cook (mostly Italian) and to drink a good glass of wine (or 2..) we decided to also open the gite for guests.
The gite has its own fully equipped kitchen, so after a visit to the local supermarket (7 km away) you can cook your own breakfasts, lunches and diners, or at a small surcharge, join us for a meal (or all), we love a good conversation about everything and nothing, but also respect your privacy if needed..
So if you are looking for a luxurious relaxing place, with good food, conversation when needed, a pool and plenty of chill spaces, you found the spot!
We would love to hear from you, so if you visit our website, please do leave a note, comment, what can be improved or just a Hi!
